Peaceful Protest Alert: Maritime Students Set To Stage Nationwide Demonstration – Education
Kindly share this story

The National Association of Nigerian Maritime Students (NANMS) has issued a clarion call for a peaceful protest scheduled to take place on Thursday, 24th April, at 10:00 AM. The protest will be held at the NIMASA Headquarters, Ademola Adetokunbo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This demonstration is a response to years of systemic neglect endured by maritime students across the country. The students are raising their voices against the lack of sea-time training, scarce employment opportunities, and unfulfilled promises that have left thousands of graduates stranded and hopeless.
Carrying the banners of #SeaTimeNow, #RestoreOurFuture, #SaveMaritimeStudents, and #EnoughIsEnough, the protest aims to highlight the dire need for reforms within the maritime education and training system. At the heart of the protest is the call for NIMASA and other relevant authorities to fulfill their statutory roles in securing the future of Nigerian maritime students and restoring dignity to the profession.
NANMS invites all concerned students, stakeholders, and well-meaning Nigerians to join this peaceful protest to demand accountability, action, and a future for maritime graduates.
