Social media personality and TikToker, Habeeb Hamzat, aka Peller, has once again sparked controversy over his relationship with Jarvis following his luxury Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 gift to his partner on her birthday.
In a viral clip trending on social media, Jarvis appeared visibly emotional, shedding tears as she received the vehicle worth millions of naira.
While some fans commended the surprise romantic move, others criticised Peller for what they consider excessive spending, drawing comparisons to the car he previously bought for his mother.
However, in a bid to address the backlash, Peller defended his decision, stating that the gift was a statement of his financial status. He insisted that the car was not an attempt to win Jarvis’ affection, but rather a reward he believed she deserved.
Peller added that he would spend more on gifts if Jarvis eventually gave birth to a child for him.
“My mom wanted a Toyota worth ₦9 million, but I bought her a Hyundai worth ₦20 million instead. People would still have dragged me even if I’d bought her the ₦9 million Toyota,” he said in a video.
“Am I the first person to buy his girlfriend a car? I love my baby. I didn’t buy Jarvis a car just so she can stay with me; she deserves it. I don’t care if she leaves me later. If Jarvis gives me a child, I’ll donate even more than this.”
