In her April message to members and stakeholders, the WIMA Nigeria President described the new month as a season of renewal and growth, encouraging women across the maritime space to approach emerging opportunities with clarity of purpose and determination. She noted that, much like the tides that define maritime operations, each new phase presents fresh possibilities that demand readiness and strategic action.
Mrs. Nwaeze emphasized the need for professionalism, discipline, and forward-thinking, stressing that the changing dynamics of the blue economy require women to remain proactive and adaptable. She commended the continuous contributions of women in the sector, highlighting their role in breaking barriers, shaping industry standards, and inspiring future leaders.
Reaffirming the organisation’s direction, she stated that Women in Maritime Africa (WIMA Nigeria) remains committed to its core pillars of empowerment, innovation, collaboration, and national visibility, adding that the association will sustain efforts to create platforms that drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and amplify the voices of women in maritime.
She concluded by wishing members a productive and fulfilling month, expressing optimism that April will usher in renewed strength, greater achievements, and steady progress across all areas of endeavour, while encouraging women to continue to navigate their paths with confidence and purpose.
