Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has confirmed that the highly anticipated joint album with American R&B star, Chris Brown, is scheduled for release next year.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast with Adesope Olajide, the singer said he has shifted focus to curating more African-styled music; however, as an American and an international artiste, he is still open to collaborating with American artistes.
“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home.
“However, I am still an American, so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.
Davido and Chris Brown first collaborated on the hit track ‘Blow My Mind’ in 2019, with many more collaborations between the duo coming after that, including tracks like ‘Lower Body,’ ‘Shopping Spree,’ ‘Nobody Needs To Know,’ ‘Sensational’ and ‘Hmm.’
Fans have been anticipating the release of the joint album since Davido first teased it in 2023.
