Biafra Day: Ebonyi records total compliance

The May 30th Sit at Home exercise as directed by the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Thursday recorded total compliance as residents of Abakaliki metropolis were seen within their vicinity, without the desire to explore their environment.
Abakaliki metropolis appears to be a ghost town as human and vehicular movements were reduced to its barest minimum as at the of this report.
Those on essential duties were stranded, following the sit at home exercise as filling stations, Banks, restaurants, business Centres, shops and major supermarkets were closed down.
Not minding the directive of IPOB, the Organisation of African Instituted Churches, OAIC, Ebonyi State Chapter welcomed the President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN and OAIC Regional President to OAIC Regional Conference and retreat held in Ebonyi State at Catholic Pastoral Centre, Mile 50, Abakaliki.
As at the time of this report, there has not been any report of harassment and intimidation of residents of the State over IPOB’s sit at home directive.
As at the time of this report, economic activities were yet to build up in different parts of State.
