Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Kassia recently shared how the pretense of being ‘besties’ with her husband and fellow contestant, Kellyrae, is impacting her experience in the house.
Kassia and Kellyrae, who go by DoubleKay, revealed during the season premiere that despite being married, they would act like best friends as part of their strategy in the house.
After more than two weeks of maintaining this facade, Kassia confided to Biggie during Wednesday’s diary session that she was starting to struggle with the deception.
“This whole bestie thing that we are doing is really getting to me, sometimes I just wanna jump on him [Kellyrae] but I can’t because of this whole bestie thing,” she lamented.
“Most of the tasks that we are asked to do, like the Aquafina Padi of Life task we did yesterday, I couldn’t really express myself because I didn’t want the house to know that we were married. It hasn’t been easy, Big Brother.”
Meanwhile, Kellyrae said he intends to create an impression that he likes Anita and Handi to distract the housemates from thinking about him and Kassia being in a romantic relationship.
“I intent to give this impression that I like Handi and Anita so that the housemates drift their mind away from Kassia and I,” he explained.
