Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Zion has stated that while his girlfriend and partner, Chinwe, can choose to exit the show, he will not leave with her despite their pairing.
On Thursday night, Chinwe threatened to leave after accusing Zion of undermining her to gain favor with other housemates.
She claimed that Zion was “throwing her under the bus.”
The next morning, Chinwe told fellow housemate Michky that she had already notified Biggie of her intention to exit the show.
In response, Zion expressed indifference toward Chinwe’s departure but made it clear that he would protest if Biggie decided to evict him along with her, given the season’s rules requiring contestants to compete in pairs.
In a chat with Anita, Zion said, “This is just the second week, I shouldn’t be quenching smoke fires, because that just means that you’ve forgotten why we are here. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t go home.
“If she wants to go she can go, of course, we came here together, doesn’t mean we have to go together. If she goes to meet Biggie that she wants to go, let her say she wants to go, I didn’t say I want to go home.
