On Friday 31 January 2025, a total of 112 Cadets of Direct Short Service Commission Course 29 embarked on an operational tour to three military units. The units visited included Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) PATHFINDER, 6 Division Nigerian Army, and 115 Special Operations Group (SOG) Nigerian Air Force. The tour was led by the Acting Training Coordinator, Lieutenant Commander Z Nasada. The aim of the tour was to consolidate the knowledge gained by the cadets in the classroom and to expose them to the activities of the visited units. The tour also sought to promote support and cordiality amongst sister services.
During the tour of NNS PATHFINDER, the Cadets were welcomed by the Base Rigging Officer, Commander AI Abdulsalam and they were briefed about the history, organisational structure, policing roles, and major operations of the base. Furthermore, on getting to 6 Division Nigerian Army, the Cadets were received by the Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Logistics, Colonel MK Sanusi and were subsequently briefed on the unit’s activities by Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations, Colonel CB Anaukwu. Lastly, the tour was concluded with the tour of 115 SOG Nigerian Air Force, where they were welcomed by Squadron Leader AF Pedro.
