“I Tried to Kill Myself Three Times” – US Pastor Shares Powerful Testimony at Dunamis Church
A United States pastor, Tony Carpenter, has gone viral after sharing a deeply moving testimony of transformation at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.
Speaking at the church’s Glory Dome, Carpenter recounted his past struggles with drug addiction and suicide attempts, revealing how God’s intervention saved him from destruction.
“I tried to kill myself three times, but God rescued me. And I feel the same power of transformation here,” he testified, overcome with emotion.
Carpenter, who traveled from Baltimore, USA, through Iceland and Frankfurt, Germany, described his encounter at Dunamis as life-changing, saying he was overwhelmed by the presence of God the moment he stepped into the sanctuary.
“The moment I walked into the Glory Dome, I felt the presence of God like a hurricane hitting me. I couldn’t move, I just began to weep. It was beyond words. It felt like I had been born again all over again,” he said.
He was accompanied by Pastor Nick from Frankfurt, Germany, who echoed similar sentiments.
“The power of God hit me like a wave the moment I entered the church. I have no words. This trip was worth it because I know I am leaving here a changed man,” he said.
Beyond the international visitors, local testimonies also highlighted the global impact of Dunamis. A pastor in Abuja narrated how a prophetic declaration from Dr. Paul Enenche saved one of his church members from a plane crash caused by a bird strike. Another pastor from Southern Nigeria revealed how his family has witnessed multiple prophetic interventions through Dunamis’ midnight prayer sessions.
Reacting to the testimonies, Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis, urged people not to take divine encounters for granted.
“Many people are in the midst of grace but take it for granted. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they did not recognize the day of their visitation. Don’t be familiar with what God is doing,” he admonished.
Carpenter’s testimony has since gone viral, sparking conversations about the power of faith, transformation, and global revival at Dunamis.
