Marriage drama: My son is not in his right senses – 2Baba’s mother

The unfolding drama revolving around the marriage life of Nigerian music icon 2Baba may not climaxed any time soon. This is because during the week, the drama continued with the iconic singer unveiling his love interest Natasha Osawaru, just 16 days after announcing his break up with wife, Annie Idibia.

Unfortunately, the singer has been accused of moving on too quickly, but he defends Natasha, saying she has nothing to do with his divorce.

In a video shared on Instagram, 2Baba praised Natasha as a “young, brilliant, and amazing woman” and expressed his desire to marry her.

He also defended the 29,-year- old Edo lawmaker against accusations of being a home breaker.

Natasha is the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, representing the Egor Constituency. She’s a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and advocates youth empowerment, education, and women’s rights.

The development has sparked another mixed reactions from fans and followers. Some have congratulated 2Baba on his new relationship, while others have criticized him for moving on too quickly.

Controversial actress Nwachukwu Ifeoma Esther has congratulated 2Baba on his new relationship, saying Annie deserved what she’s getting in her crashed marriage. This is even as the music icon’s mother has cried out that her son is not in his right senses following 2Baba’s engagement to Edo lawmaker days back.

In a viral video posted on 2Baba’s younger brother, Charles Idibia’s Instagram page, Mrs Idibia said: ‘My son is going through a divorce process and he’s clearly not in his right senses now, I know my son, his is not him,”

Recall that 2Baba on January 27,confirmed his separation from Annie and later revealed his plans to marry Natasha Osarawu, after the singer recently made a cameo-appearance during a plenary session at the Edo State House of Assembly.

2Baba has shown commitment to Natasha, disassociating her from playing a role in his marital crisis. He went ahead to propose to the Edo lawmaker in a viral video during the week.

In the video, 2Baba shared a warm hug with the lawmaker, sprayed money on her and they both danced before he brought out a ring to put on her finger while friends and well-wishers who were around cheered on.

Natasha also has taken to Instagram page to share her adorable picture of herself and 2Baba to set tongues wagging on social media.

But beyond the unfolding drama, the unanswered question yet is what actually prompted 2Baba to move on so quickly? Is that he’s in dire need of happiness in marriage which has eluded him for years? Or is he actually looking for a woman of substance as a life partner? More so, could the singer be labelled as a gold digger knowing that he’s one of the most successful Nigerian musicians in his right.
