Canada’s campaign came to an end following a 3-0 loss to Morocco at Houston Stadium on Saturday.
The North Africans secured a convincing victory through a brace from Azzedine Ounahi, while Soufiane Rahimi added the third goal to seal Morocco’s place in the quarter-finals.
Paraguay also exited the tournament after a narrow 1-0 defeat to France.
A second-half penalty converted by Kylian Mbappe proved decisive as the former world champions advanced to the last eight.
France will now take on Morocco in the quarter-finals on Thursday, with both sides aiming to book a place in the semi-finals.
