NSCDC nabs man vandalizing school roof
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps have arrested Jide Fadipe, 40, for allegedly vandalizing the roof of a public primary school.
In a statement issued by the corps’ public relations officer, Osun State Command, Kehinde Adeleke, the suspect was arrested after a tip-off by residents of Ilesa, where the vandalized school is located.
The Osun Commandant of the Corps, Michael Adaralewa, disclosed in the statement that residents had earlier seen the man vandalizing the roof around 4 a.m. on Tuesday and informed operatives of the command in the town.
“The suspect thereafter moved the vandalized roof sheets to his house and was caught while trying to sell it to scrap buyers.
“His act is against Section 451 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 34, Laws of Osun State, Nigeria, and would be made to face the full wrath of the law,” he added.
