Sharing photos of the toddler, she described him as the sweetest and the most beautiful boy one can meet. According to her, her son blows her mind every day as he is an extrovert, so honest, curious and precious.

Recalling some of her favourite moments with her son, she said she wanted a baby who would enjoy meals and feared for any child who doesn’t eat because it can lead to crying and losing weight.

Lucy said her son owns her heart and she would take his illness and bear it alone if it came to that.

And just like that, I have a one-year-old! The sweetest and most beautiful boy you’ll meet, blows my mind; no one meets him who doesn’t fall absolutely and utterly in love with him! I don’t know how he is an extrovert, to be honest- so curious and precious. I’m only worried the toddler years might be hard because the baby stage was the smoothest, peaceful and joyful time. I feel like God’s favourite because this boy only cried for a few seconds at a time, and it was just to let me know he was hungry or teething, and he’s back to being happy again. When I turn and look at him, I blush! The things I was worried about didn’t even happen! I thought my frown would make him unhappy. He’d end up frowning too (my resting b*tch face), but this boy would burst out laughing once I’m frowning; he thinks I’m making faces at him. Even side-eyes make him laugh so loud, and my heart would melt; at first, I expected to be automatically in love and stoked about my baby. Still, it was giving alien at first cuz why is someone moving around in my belly (I’ve seen too many movies)? When he got here, once out, he was wailing in seconds. Then he was calm till circumcision again, before he wailed so much. The first thing I noticed about him was his dimple. I was so happy because I wanted that for him: dimples, gap teeth, all the cute things. He came with even more; his skin is the most beautiful melanin shade, so fresh you’ll romance him all day without getting tired. I wanted a baby that would enjoy meals, I fear for a child who doesn’t eat because that will lead to crying and then losing weight. Oh, he’s a foodie! He’s the only person who is welcome to pick from my plate anytime. I would smile about it. Over the course of a year, I realised he owns my heart. I would take his illness and bear it alone if it came to that. The one time he fell ill in a year was a cold, cough, and catarrh; I would have done anything to ease his pain, even get it myself to relieve him. I began to wonder how people could hate their own child; I couldn’t bring myself to think it a possibility. I celebrate this one year because it’s also a celebration of me. Happy birthday, Zane”.

Recalling her journey. to motherhood, she described it as the most interesting journey she’s had the pleasure of undertaking, and it’s been both a ball and a rollercoaster for her.

In 2023, Lucy had reviewed her major concern about marriage, stating that she was focused more on being a good wife to her husband than being a pretty bride. She noted how most people now focus mainly on trying to outshine each other’s wedding, forgetting that if one doesn’t prepare for marriage, the wedding is a waste of time.
