Nigerian content creator and social media influencer Sanni Iyabo Munirat, popularly known as Paramount Komedy, has urged aspiring digital creators to focus on building credible brands rather than chasing instant fame, saying trust remains the most valuable asset in the highly competitive social media space.
The content creator, who has amassed nearly 400,000 followers on Instagram through comedy skits blended with life lessons, said authenticity, consistency and patience are the foundations of lasting success online.
“Be original and patient. Don’t chase fame alone; focus on creating value. Learn continuously, stay consistent and never stop improving your craft. Growth takes time, but if you remain authentic and disciplined, opportunities will eventually come. Most importantly, build a brand that people can trust because credibility lasts longer than viral moments,” she said.
Born on March 10, 1996, the married graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and Tai Solarin University of Education said her passion for content creation has always been driven by the desire to make people laugh while promoting positive values in society.
According to her, social media influencers must recognise the enormous responsibility that comes with their growing influence, especially among young people who often look up to them as role models.
“Influencers have a huge responsibility because many young people admire and imitate them. Beyond entertainment, we should encourage good values, respect, hard work and kindness. We may not be perfect, but we should always remember that our actions and words can influence thousands of lives,” she stated.
Paramount Komedy also reflected on some of the life-changing feedback she has received from followers, revealing that several people have credited her content with helping them overcome emotional struggles and repair broken relationships.
She described such testimonies as the most rewarding aspect of her career, noting that they reinforce her commitment to creating meaningful content.
“One of the most touching moments was receiving messages from followers who said my videos helped them through depression and difficult periods in their lives. Others have told me they reconciled with family members after watching some of my relationship-themed content. Those testimonies remind me that what we create online can have a real impact beyond the screen,” she said.
The influencer maintained that while entertainment remains at the heart of her work, using comedy as a vehicle to communicate important messages and inspire positive change has always been her ultimate goal.
